Sustainability

For labels, folding boxes, and shipping cartons, we exclusively use paper from sustainable forestry. This ensures that our packaging is not only beautiful but also responsible.

Raw materials for labels are sourced exclusively from sugarcane fibers. Our boxes for balms and solid cosmetics have been designed to be completely glue-free. Our inks and varnishes are biodegradable and therefore sustainable, as are our logistics and production processes. 

We package our natural cosmetics in high-quality glass bottles and aluminum tins. Both materials are durable, recyclable, and provide optimal protection for our valuable organic ingredients.

Wherever possible, we avoid plastic entirely. If it is used nonetheless, it is only because there is no sustainable technical alternative – and we are continuously searching for better solutions.

We prefer to source our ingredients regionally and seasonally. Short transport routes protect the climate while simultaneously guaranteeing fresh, high-quality raw materials.

BARAU works closely with small and medium-sized family businesses. They embody sustainable values, preserve traditional knowledge, and contribute to strengthening the regional economy.

In all of our products, we rely exclusively on natural raw materials that are in harmony with people, animals, and nature. In this way, care becomes an expression of mindfulness and respect.

We focus on the essentials: clear formulas, pure ingredients, simple routines. We leave out everything unnecessary – for you and for the environment.
